Stainless steel decorative pipes are mainly used in stair handrails, interior decoration pipes, etc. What about stainless steel industrial pipes? Although both are stainless steel pipes, there are certain differences between the two. There is a gap in the application field, and the purpose determines the material, process, surface, etc. of the two.
- Production process: 304 stainless steel decorative pipes are mostly stainless steel welded pipes, which are welded with stainless steel strips. The stainless steel strip is hot-rolled to a certain thickness, and then rolled and cold-rolled to the required thin thickness. The inner wall of the stainless steel decorative pipe has a weld. Stainless steel industrial pipes are produced by cold drawing process, and the pipe wall is generally seamless.
- Pipe surface: Decorative pipes are pipes made by rolling and reprocessing. The surface will be polished, so the surface of the pipe is smooth. The surface of industrial pipes is usually rough.
- Thickness difference: 304 stainless steel decorative pipes are thinner, with the thinnest thickness of 0.2mm and the thickest thickness of 4.0mm, but industrial stainless steel pipes are generally thicker.
- Scope of application: Due to the limitations of stainless steel decorative pipes’ welds and thickness, but good surface treatment, they are mainly used for decorative civil products such as architectural decorative products and stainless steel products. However, stainless steel industrial pipes are seamless, with rough and thick pipe walls and strong pressure resistance. They are mainly used for products with high pressure, high strength and mechanical structure.
The above is the difference between stainless steel decorative pipes and stainless steel industrial pipes
